Frank - the coolest bird in Lofoten

Frank has been sitting on harbour railings in Lofoten longer than anyone can remember.

He watches the boats come and go, listens to fishermen talking, and always seems to know where something interesting is happening.

Every summer, thousands of kittiwakes return to the coast, and their unmistakable calls become part of the sound of Lofoten.
Frank represents the lively harbour life visitors quickly learn to recognize when they arrive here.

In Norwegian we call the kittywake Krykkja
